The weekend seminar on Enlightenment Gong: "The more time I have learning and practising Enlightenment Gong, the more I value and enjoy this form. Sigong's second day lecture talking about the direction of qi flow was a real highlight. Thanks again, Sigong, for sharing this skill. Belinda Hadfield, Kapiti Coast, NZ."
A day or so before Master Tse flew in the heatwave subsided, so we had very acceptable temperatures (comparatively!), of 28-32 degrees, instead of the 36 to 38 we had been getting. Sifu came armed with New Year biscuits from Hong Kong…delicious!
We started out with three evening seminars on 5 Element Self-Healing Gong and it was greatly appreciated by everyone: not too difficult, not much moving and not very long, so we can integrate it quite easily into daily practice. I’m sure most of us are aiming to do just that. Master Tse's explanations of Yin and Yang, the five elements and the calendar were very helpful too. Our weekend seminar was Enlightenment Gong, and we did lots of polishing, which really helps us to keep up our practice throughout the year and to improve, while still adding a new bit at the end. His lecture on the direction of the flow of qi depending on different movements was also enlightening. Our last night was a continuation of explanations of the healing hand gestures of our system and it was very practical and hands on, which was fun and which gave us an opportunity to use the different gestures on each other. Next year we will conclude what has been a very useful series of seminars. Then we were off to New Zealand where Cynthia, Susanne and Belinda ran a beautiful program. Many thanks to them and of course to Sifu for giving us all a turbo-charged learning opportunity every year! |
